A faMiLy tHaT PLayS TogEThEr...

Chris and Abby texted this week, "We're done with our tests and school and looking for an adventure this weekend... what are you guys up to?" And so thanks to them we had a fun play weekend! We hit the lake early Saturday. I haven't gone boarding since last July! Woah. So I was a little nervous- after having 4 kiddos did I still have what it takes to get up!?! YES! Phew. Just like riding a bike- ha! I LOVE boarding- so much fun.
Abby and I joke around that we are competing to see who will jump the entire wake first- Chris is our coach and takes his job very seriously. She's got mad skills out there and got crappy water for the most part but still did great...
Chris "the Main Event" pulled his usual tricks...
And Ger had some nice moves as well!
Colby absolutely loves the new EZ Ski we got for the kiddos. There is no greater joy as parents to have your children love doing what you love to do!! Ger and I were so proud- ha!
Chris was yanking the rope all over, trying to get him out of the wake, so it was a wild ride...
But he loved every second and kept telling us to go faster- sticking his thumb up in the air! We were pulling him already at almost 20 MPH!!! BAH!
Mia got out there- loved it last time- but was just positive she was going to "go over that big wave!" So she stopped the boat. We reassured her she was not going over the wake and was totally fine...
She was relieved to hear that and got up to try again. :-)
And absolutely had a blast. She didn't want to stop!
The Babes :-)
The boys! Chris is always a blast to have along and is the life of the party! Colby thinks that they are brothers...
Then it was Sydney's turn. YAY! She could have gone all day too and loved it. She got bored and started writing messages to us in the air with her hand. My favorite was when she spelled out, "I *heart* MOM."
We all got a turn surfing too- too fun!!!
His and Hers. :-) I had to take this pic to show off my new boots- they were THRILLED to finally get out on the lake! As you know my ankle is still pretty bad, even after surgery a few years ago, and these babies were such a SWEET ride! Supportive and comfy.
Oh, and where was Allie you ask? Safely at home, playing and snuggling with Grandma and Grandpa! She sleeps in until 9:00-9:30 these days so we left at 7 and were home by 11:30- she hardly missed us! Thanks Mom and Dad for taking such great care of her- she was had such a great time... and so did we!

Top of the Charts baby!

Allie had her two month check up a few weeks ago... She is the top of the charts for height and weight- wahoo! I am so proud. :-) She is 24 inches tall so that is the 97% for height and is 12 pounds 10 ounces which is 95% for weight. Her noggin is just in the 50th percentile. Not too bad eh!?!
I just can't believe how fast she is growing! She already fits in to 3 month stuff and has outgrown most of her 0-3 month clothes.
Whenever she has tummy time she has a whole fan club! I need to take a picture of all the kids around her cheering her on! This was a week or so ago and she is doing great at holding her head up while on her tummy now...
I loved this because it shows how she is really filling out her carseat... I kiss those chubby cheeks literally a hundred times each day.
Mia got her to laugh today! So fun. It is the cutest sound in the whole entire world!!! Grandma even had her rolling with the cutest laughter when she was here- so adorable. We need to take more video and pics of her smiling and laughing...
Sydney and Mia are ALWAYS offering to help with her- to sing or run her legs or hold her etc. She looks so tall in this pic! AND her cute outfit is from the GAP- love the skirt with attached leggings. The knees even have soft flower cut outs... doesn't come in handy yet but soon enough!

The girls LOVE holding her while standing up. funny! I guess it's because I don't let them do it very much.
Kind of blurry but her smile is so dang cute... She definitely is her own little self which I love. We pulled out the other kids baby pics at this stage and her little face resembles bits and pieces of the other kids but she doesn't look just like any of them! She is overall a happy and good baby. Sleeping SOOOO much better. Wakes up at 4 or 5 AM and then has been sleeping in until 9:30. So nice to get to workout (and shower! ha!) on a more regular basis... and then take care of the other kiddos breakfast and other needs before she is awake. I'm blogging with her snuggled up to me so I'll get back to her and post more later!

Toy Story 3

We took the kiddos to see Toy Story 3 Saturday and LOVED it! Of course. It is so clever and witty and funny and spoofs other movies and Ger and I were totally laughing out loud. So cute. There are some mean toys in it which Sydney did not like at all... but really it is a great movie for ages 2 to 102 I think! Then I was dying when I saw how clever Bakerella was this weekend in celebrating the opening of the movie...
too cute!
If you haven't seen these before, they are called "Cake Pops" and made with cake and frosting and covered with candy melts... I don't think I will tackle these but they are so dang adorable, any kid (or adult!) would love them. So yummy too. Check out how to make them at www.bakerella.com!

4th of July Craft...

I saw this on thelongthread.com and loved it! A simple and fun craft for the kiddos to do for the 4th that looks classy and not trashy. You could hang this across your window or from your fireplace or just on a wall to dress it up. In fact your kiddos might even want to create one for their room window/wall! You could even add blue stripes on fabric in between the red stars.. or create a square stamp to go around the star? They used a starfruit as their stamp.
You could also use a potato stamp and do lots of littler stars! Or Michaels often has dollar stamps that are great for kids... Anyways, we will be making this soon and will post the results!
Search "potato art" on my blog for the more info on creating fun stamps with potatoes!

4th of July Treat...

Remember these? Yum. The kids have LOVED making these a few times...
How cute are these for the 4th!?! We will definitely be making these sometime soon- my kiddos are begging to make and bake and create on these hot summer days!

What fun ideas do you have for the 4th? We would love to know!

Allie's Special Day!

Well I don't have time for more but here are two pics from yesterday- it was such a great day! We wished more family could have been here but were grateful for the family and friends (that are practically family!) that we had! Allie looked so beautiful in the dress that Grandma Dover made... and Ger gave her such a special and beautiful blessing.
Here's a pic from right after- our family of 6! Woah. How lucky are we. :-)
More soon- love to all!

BAH! We've got FOUR kids!

How lucky are we!?! Four beautiful, healthy, happy, fun, kiddos. And it is more than a full time job. whew. Sorry it's taken me so long to post more pics- I need one more of me around here!
Here's a short recap of the past few weeks... Ger had a business trip a month or so ago and so Melissa and Evie came to stay and play! Melissa was a huge help- she did everything from clean my fridge and microwave to watch my kiddos and do my laundry! And we had a blast- she is so much fun to be around and we could just steal Evie. She is so dang cute and fun- the kids LOVED her smiles and laughs and playing with her. Chris and Abby came to play the weekend Lissy was here and after Mia's soccer game and Colby's tball game we all went out for lunch at Famous Dave's. Yum!
The next week we were lucky enough to get mom for a week! She absolutely spoiled us! Brought so many fun things for the kiddos and cleaned and did laundry and ran kids around and was just so fun to be around.
Here are some random pics...Colby sure is in LOVE with Allie! Loves talking to her and laying by her and trying to make her smile. The pic in the middle of JJ and him crack me up- JJ had seen Zac Efron wearing a collared button up shirt over a t-shirt in High School musical and wanted to look just like him.... so Colby had to copy him... and then they both wore their sunglasses and went just like this to preschool!
Holy laundry. It's amazing how much more laundry one little one adds and I just can't keep up. I start on Monday and finish just in time to start up again the next week!
Happy Bday Ger! Last month we celebrated his bday by going bowling and out to eat at Macaroni Grill. The kids had a blast and it was one of Allie's first big outings!
We had everyone over on Sunday for Ger's real bday- cake and ice cream and lots of playing outside. Man, Woman, Bear was the favorite of the night and had us all laughing! So fun.
Colby is constantly entertaining us. Singing, dancing, and "shaking what his momma gave him!"
Colby finished his tball season a few weeks ago... he had a great coach and Ger was an assistant coach so it was lots of fun to watch their games.
Colby improved TONS over the season- hitting the ball and catching so much better than he had at the first.
Mom and Daughter Book Club! Such a fun thing we just started up with some of Sydney's friends. The first book was Happy Birthday Mrs Piggle Wiggle. Ashlee came up with the fabulous book club idea so she and Sage hosted the first one... Sage led the discussion, had them draw questions from a jar, then gave them all a new bookmark and the dessert was a cupcake with a candle. Yum! It was super fun and we are excited to host the next one.
The kiddos are just are so lucky to have such fun and wonderful friends! They are loving the warm weather... swimming, playing in the sandbox, jumping on the tramp, and eating lots of popsicles are some of their very favorite things to do. ;-)
Sage and Sydney went to a fun swim party and came home all decorated! They even got new flip flops!
Allie's getting in lots of tummy time...
And snugglie time! Soft blankeys are the best- she looks like a little Eskimo! ha!
We escaped for a fun date night that our friends had put together- a huge group game of Laser Tag! Ger did awesome- 2nd or 3rd place! He forced me to play the 2nd game with them which I wasn't planning on since we brought Allie... and I was in a dress! But it was hilarious- so much fun. I highly recommend this date night to anyone! (Ger is out with Allie so is not in this pic... )
Colby graduated from preschool! Hurray! He is one lucky boy to have so many great friends... cute kids from great families. 6 of his very best friends were in his class this year- JJ, Micah, Tristan, Dallin, Regan, and Landon. (And he does go back to preschool in the fall... his teacher just does this adorable ceremony at the end of every year.)
YAHOO! The girlies right as they got out of class on the last day of school... They are thrilled to be done for the year and so excited for summer.
I just had to post Allie's tiny little perfect fingernails... painted pink!
And she is all ready for summer- ha! She wasn't a fan of the sunglasses and didn't even get out of the shade, but we had to try on her new swimsuit. I got it at Nordstrom's Last Chance for $2.97!
Hittin up Lake Saguaro with the LeSueurs. We got the kiddos a new EZ ski and they LOVED it. Colby was hysterical- he kept saying, "HIT IT HIT IT! FASTER!" He was going 20 mph! BAH! Even the girlies got out on it and had fun. They also loved cliff diving (scary! can you see how high it was for those little guys!?!), playing at the beach, eating lots of snacks, playing in the front of the boat and being silly... It was an absolute blast. The adults got a little time out on the water, but it was mostly a trip for the kiddos and we enjoyed every second... Even spotted some mountain goats and a beautiful big bald eagle. Allie did great too- her first time on the boat!
Playgroup! The girls love to help and did a great job... Syd even wrote all the kiddos names on cups before I could even ask her. The kiddos also tried to help fill up water balloons before everyone came... an hour later we had about 20 balloons. HA! They were hilarious doing it though and were laughing their heads off- soaking wet. So they swam, did slip and slide, played with water balloons, & ate lots of chicken nuggets for lunch...
Looking most like Sydney these days but definitely has a mix of everyone really... What cute chubby cheeks huh!?!
And yup, she accompany's us on date nights these days! This was a few weeks ago at Tommy Bahama's- one of our favorite places to eat.
Welcome to the Stitches Club Mia! Doh! She fell at a Memorial Day BBq/Swim party and had to get 4 stitches. :-( She was super brave though and it was pretty scratched and beat up but is healing pretty good...
Allie is smiling more and more and we love it! So fun to get her big cheesy grins... the kids get so excited when they get her to smile. I will have to get some better pics but here is just a sweet smile...
Ger took off this week to 4 cities in 4 days on a marketing spree for work... so we took off with Abby to stay at the Arizona Grand Resort & Waterpark! So much fun... We played and played until they were worn out... Enjoyed Rustlers Roost for dinner too...
We just couldn't love Abby anymore- she is so amazing with the kiddos and has such geniune love for them. She is so patient and fun and I feel like she is a "real" sister, not just sister in law. We have a great time chatting and the kids kept us laughing the whole trip about one thing or another. Thanks Abby for making our get away such a great time!
I thought this pic showed how big Allie was getting! I am so proud of her rolls- ha! Such a healthy baby and the girlies still love holding her and helping with her. (Syd's pink cheeks show how much they swim and swim and play outside! We do lather on the sunscreen but with the kiddos out there so much it's hard to keep up on it.)
Well anyways, there is some of what we have been up too! More hopefully soon. :-)
