Woah! Our little girl is not so little anymore! Sydney turned 6 today! She is so cheerful and happy and we feel so blessed to have her in our family! She started 1st grade at the first of August- when she was just 5- and is the very youngest in her class. She is already reading chapter books though and is very bright and loves to learn! In some ways Sydney seems so much older than her age though... She is so helpful and patient and kind- always is willing to give up candy or toys or whatever it might be if it will make Mia or Colby happy. She is the peacemaker around our house- the 2nd mom! She loves playing with Mia and Colby and is always willing to compromise and play what they want to. 
This is how we celebrated Syd's birthday this year... it was her year for a family party so we went to the Arizona Grand Resort! They have a huge waterpark and we just enjoyed time as a fam- swam and played and had a FABULOUS time. We did run into some friends there so that made it all the more exciting for the girlies... Brescia (their cousin) joined us late that night after dinner- she always is fun to have around and a big help with the girls. They love her to death!
Gotta love the Rustlers Roost at Arizona Grand Resort! It has this huge metal slide that the kiddos all love, a live country band with a dance floor, fancy kiddos menus that turn into horn hats and fabulous Cowboy grub- YUM! Super fun.
The waterpark was a blast - the kiddos had the time of their life! They loved every minute... The wave pool was probably their favorite but they loved the lazy river too... didn't care to try the slides... They just had a blast hanging out with their friends and Brescia!
